Will design, engineer, and implement system-wide, real-time controls. Will perform detailed analysis of design and specifications of electronic subsystems for new equipment and interface electronics for various off-the-shelf devices. Will be responsible for subsystem development, including the precision stage and microscope. Will specify system components and direct modification of the company's current products to ensure conformity with engineering design and performance specifications. Will research and analyze design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility and maintenance requirements of designs. Will operate DNA/RNA sequencing machines to conduct design of experiments and analyze the feasibility, design, operation and performance of equipment, components, and systems, and will document and record results of the system operation. Will perform project management and system engineering for next generation of SMS DNA platform and will set development priorities and schedules for system design. Will perform machine fault diagnosis and troubleshooting, develop troubleshooting guide, and direct customer support. Will support product management team by interfacing with customers to obtain feedback about product, generate requirements documentations and customer presentations to validate new platform design and present to customers. Will develop manufacturing processes, assembly and test documentation, and subassembly test stations. Will monitor Final Quality Check (FQC) run and will take corrective actions to resolve any discrepancies on the machine before the machine ships out to customer
