Director of Business Development

Position Overview:

Helicos seeks an experienced Sales/Business Development Account Manager to identify prospective customers and develop new sales opportunities. This individual will be responsible for total account and territory development encompassing all aspects of customer needs and business objectives; coordinate marketing, technical and sales support to facilitate business growth. They will also provide technical and administrative product information through direct customer interation including sales calles, hosted or onsite performed presentations, seminars and demos, as well as web-based demos when appropriate.
Primary Responsibilities:
*Meet and exceed territory revenue goals as set by Director of Business Devlopment
*Contribute to the development of business strategies and growth plans
*Utilize and assist marketing, product development and technical and sales support groups, as well as to assure customer satisfaction
*Deliver effective technical sales presentations; introduce products/systems
* Accurately quotes appropriate product/system pricing
